Happy days are here again!

Most of you know we have decided to switch day cares for many reasons that I won't bore you with. However, Brooke was very attached to the woman who used to watch her and has been "semi" depressed and in mourning for the past week. Well today was their first day at their new school and nothing but smiles and giggles all day!! We got her all set up with a new backpack, blanket for her cot & she was ready to roll this morning. I went and visited them at lunch today (its about 10 steps away from my office - lil' added bonus!) and she couldn't tell me things that she has already done fast enough. Brady on the other hand wasn't as emotional about leaving - I mean really, just someone feed me, change me and play with me and I am all satisfied!! He as well was having a great time and seemed happy as I could have hoped (phew!) Brooke was happier tonight than I have seen her in a while and I asked her before she went to bed - why are you soooo happy tonight - and she says "Mom, I had a really good day at school today" "Do I go tomorrow?" - fade out to Mom sighing with relief! Here are some pix of their first day - yes I realize the backpack is larger than her - but it was her choice! :)

Generations of Friends!

Rachel and I have known eachother since the FIFTH grade - wow I feel old as I type that- She has been a friend for as long as I can remember and it is crazy to even think we have anything to talk about with eachother after so long, but I guess as we get older we continue to still share many things and right now its kids, houses, families etc..... We are fortunate enough that both our kids are very close in age and have been great playmates so far, I hope they can remain friends as long as we have! Here are some pictures of their visit last weekend.

Brooke and Syd were inseperable.....Brady was so happy to see someone on his level and playing field. They enjoyed swiping eachothers binkies :)

Lieutenant Dan reporting for crawling!

So Brady is on the move.... well I wouldn't really say his movement is crawling yet..... ummm after making his parents wait a good 10 months before even thinking about shaking a tail feather he is making up some new moves which made the wait worth it because it is most entertaining! He sort of reminds us of a wounded soldier. Hence the new nickname Lieutenant Dan (I know not very politically correct at this time in US history....). Now some kids get the army crawl going but this is more...... lets just say a mad attempt to get to the bunker for safety. He uses his two legs, one arm and his HEAD for the part that his second arm would normally take part in. Actually he might be onto something..... Let me back up Maybe he is just using his biggest asset to get him moving - umm yeah we went to his 9 mo. appt and his head circumference percentage....105%!!! HA! Bless his heart! So perhaps he is just using what he's got. I wish I could figure out how to attach video to this because it is really funny - but these pix will have to do!
There I go one arm forward.......
This is where I refuse to use my left arm and substitute my melon for leverage!
Laugh all you want fools - I got there just in my own special way!

Now that's using your HEAD Brady Boo!

Happy 9 months to ME!!

Oh Hi there......So I continue to view life from a seated position but I am having a lot more fun now picking up toys and real food (most of it that you can still see on my face because my parents have bad lighting and always think they have cleaned me off - but I continue to be embarrassed in public as I always have carrots or squash stained cheeks!)
My mother's hat obsession is driving me over the edge but I put up with it I mean there can't be too many more baby hats that will fit my large cranium! Yeh Haw!
My parents keep telling me to crawl and get stuff but I just prefer to steam roll across the whole room to get to where I am going.....What's the rush?

I mean even rolling is exhausting.....just look at me....I am wiped out i don't have one more 180 left in me.....
Mom ....seriously enough pictures, I haven't even had a chance to pull myself together...don't get my baby rolls & elbow fat!
Anyway I am doing good - My mom says I am growing up WAY too fast....Happy 9 Months to me!

Only in Michigan!

Only in Michigan can you greet the morning and put on your Sunday Easter's best.........

Only in turn to find your self loading on snow pants, snow boots, coat, hat, gloves in order to make your way out to the Easter egg hunt in the SNOW (yep that's right 75 degrees last week, 30 and snowing this week!)

Like kids really care anyway.....oh candy and an egg I don't care if there is a hurricane...."I am going to get them!"

Brooke has ditched her basket (not large enough!) and just flailing about!

Victory - She has found more eggs that she can manage!
The ever so religious Munson's felt like church crashers over Easter we hopped on board a local Church's Easter egg hunt and festivities. It was funny people were like "oh who do you know in the parish?" "ummm no one" "we just came for the reception!!" haha - Actually everyone was very nice and inviting and they did a real nice job - Brooke enjoyed some face painting and a bounce house that she of course is obsessed with! While Mom and Dad hoarded the free hot dogs and popcorn - now this is a church we can possibly think about :)

Brady on the other hand is just like "what in the world?" Every time I wake up I am in a different place and now I am standing next to a 7 foot dog and have no idea why!! haha!
As if that wasn't enough excitement we figure hey Brooke's been good all morning lets head over to the Mall and torture her with a large stuffed human (something she has been frightened with since birth, but her mother must continue in order to get the pix!) Brooke still wasn't real excited with the Easter Bunny - she complied and sat NEXT too him and looks terrified and can't wait for the moment to end! After we leave she says "Dad I can see the man in the bunny costume, that wasn't the real bunny!" Great, already the dream has died? Does this mean I don't have to create "real Easter basket filled with real gifts?" haha!
And of course Poor Brady - yet again getting dressed for Mom's amusement, Happy Easter from the lil' Chickadee......
