All about the seed

It's about that time......seeds.....seeds....and more seeds.....Who doesn't like the scumtious chewy sensation doused with a pound of salt. This year Brooke make Lawry's seasoned seeds, cinnamon sugar seeds, and Cajun spiced seeds (for dad of course) - Yummy~

Brady making his face for Dad to carve - he decided he wanted a "silly face"

Brooke is all about the "goop"

Finished product.....nerdy scary pumpkin with glasses....

Wallahh....the silly face......
Opps using the flash doesn't really give a way to the "jack o' lantern" lights.....oh well.....

Autum Activities.....

Fall is such a great season here in Michigan. However, this year Mother nature has given us a run for our money......it's wet.....it's cold......it's grey.....it's dreary......however the leaves still look gorgeous and make you remember why the change of seasons is so nice......Here are some photos of the fall foliage.........

We discovered a new park (well new to us....) and had the kids hike out in nature for a few hours.....they seemed to love it or just be happy to be outside again!

Somehow I feel like I have to type "zip a dee do da zip a dee day....." when I look at this pix.

Daddy doing a little rock climbing.....

There were a lot of discoveries to be made - come to find out later they were smearing a dead caterpillar with a rock.....Lovely.
However this one was still alive and I pleaded with them to let it live.....
This rock had picture written all over it....
Dad and his nuggets.
Just exploring...
I also was able to attend Brady's last field trip and it was a blast. It was nice to see this normally shy guy in his own environment and seriously be the ring leader....He was hilarious orchestrating songs and marches on our walk over to the orchard......It was a nice site to witness....
He was so happy to pick out his little pumpkin that he named it "Linny" of course he did .....Wonder Pet obsessed right now.
Protecting his prize from all the ghosts and monsters.....
Each kid was allowed one apple - Brady ate 3 - typical fruit hoarder.
Thanks for letting me join in your little school world and let me be reassured that you really do have an awesome time and love these kids and teachers you see 3 days a week!

It was all about "Da Bwookie"

Well Brooke is officially six and the past couple days have definitely revolved around her.....Here are A Lot of photos of the mature, eldest child enjoying all the festivities........

What better way to start out your birthday than a trip to Dunkin Doughnuts in your jammies for a sugar induced breakfast!!

Then home to open gifts......Mom, Jake & Atom watch out she has mastered Mancala and is ready to get in on your little secret club!

The smile on her face says it all - two rolls of clear contact paper and all her dreams have come true!

And now no free standing flat object in our house is safe it is either laminated or has a label on it (another fan favorite from G'ma - a label maker!)

Then she changed up the plans and threw IHOP to the curb and settled on Bran's Steakhouse.....I am sure every six year old's choice.....now if those six year old's only knew you get a free gift after your meal they might be signing up for a steakhouse too!

Then we were off to Soccer where she scored 3 goals!! Whoot Whoot!! But more impressive she made the first pass of the season and then turned to her teammate and said
"pass it back" Best moment yet all season!
Taking a break on the sidelines.....
Then we were immediately off to run in the Children's Marathon.... she was supposed to train 25 miles during the last few months....I am not going to lie the training fizzled out and we didn't necessarily complete all 25 ......and then they run the last 1.2 as a race!
She did great - that is 3 out of 4 Munsons running in a marathon in 2009! Brady happily declined!
She had fun, and commented during the race......"boy I wish I didn't eat such a big lunch before we came" Congrats Brooklyn!
Then she awoke the next morning and hopped into our bed and said "I am so lucky that I could just cry" in reference to her big Pajama Party she was having that night and has been talking about non-stop for months......

My Baby decked out in her jammies....

She was kind enough to let her brother join in on the "big kid" party.
Everyone in their comfies decorating their pillowcases
Brady didn't really get the concept of heads down thumbs up, but he was part of the group and that is all that mattered to him!
All Brooke's peeps in their bedtime bests!
Chris decided to break out the strobe light and have a dance party....the kids went

B-A-N-A-N-A-S

They rocked it out......

After they all got their crazy legs out.....they hunkered down for a sleepover movie and some corn.

Worn out just in time for Moms and Dads to dump them into Bed.....Their own Bed that is :)

Happy Birthday Brookie!!!!

Brooke's last day as a 5 year old!

Our "baby" turns 6 years old tomorrow.....and in some respects it feels like we just drove home with her from the hospital and boom I blinked and six years have passed. In other respects we can't imagine life without her being around and it seems like she has been with us FOREVER......so its a weird sensation as she gets older and older each year as it seems as though each year seems to pass faster and faster the more she can do, the more she is involved in, the more she understands, the more she wants to accomplish...........So my dear Brookie your fifth year of life was filled with lots of

laughter

tears,

friends,

opinions and final says,

and new experiences, but all in all a lot of fun!

Brooke you continue to make us laugh and truly enjoy having you in our lives. You are a wonderful daughter and the best sister to your bubba.......

We hope all your dreams come true as you welcome #6 and all the new experiences you will encounter. I know one dream is on it's way since the ONE thing she asked for was clear shelving paper so she could laminate stuff and have her birthday dinner at I-Hop.......................princess outfits......nope.........toys........nope.........dolls..........nope............shelving paper and pancakes YUP!

That's my girl!

Happy 6th Birthday Turkey Ball!
