Killing me softly with his song......

I have been singing the same two songs to Brady before bed from the day he was born. Over time, he would chime in with a word or two here and there, but really just he would just lay and enjoy the petting and listening to his tone deaf mother. Just this last week he said "Mom I think I can do it tonight" And boy did he.....he sang every word, he petted my cheek, rubbed my eyebrows just like I do for him that send him into a coma, and I just thought wow here is payday! Worth every dirty diaper, every appointment with a speech therapist, and worth every sleepless night! Brady I could listen to this over and over and never get sick of it.....Thanks for my nightly lullabies you sweet sweet boy!

I know it's a bit Corny because that big purple dinosaur took it for his theme song, but I still love it!

Spring Break and then some....

The kids were on spring break this week, we stayed put....we had our spring break a few weeks prior when we headed out West to visit Grandma & Grandpa in Arizona.

It was great to get away when the weather was actually ugly and Midwestern. It was a great fun filled vacation with one little hiccup at the end. You see the Griswalds, I mean the Munsons, packed everything up headed to the airport, albeit running a bit late, were greeted with "Sorry folks gates closed" REALLY? Oh vey...long story short after a few hours on the phone with customer service they were able to reschedule us on Monday (it was Saturday) so we got a few bonus days out in the sunshine.

This was Brady's first airplane ride and he was really excited. The kids did great, colored a bit and then out like lights.....the beauty of having a night flight I guess.

Brady Bugs got a little nervous on take off - Big sister to the rescue....she took his hand and said Brady don't worry (because she of course being the seasoned veteran) It was sweet and I was proud of her!

On the way home we actually got a window and some daylight and it was fun to see their expressions on how small things looked. We were sad to be leaving, but I think both of them were secretly excited to get back to school.

We hiked in the White Tank mountains....always nice to get out and relive our Colorado hiking days....The kids loved it and Brady became best friends with EVERY single rock on the entire 2 mile adventure.

We made it to the destination waterfall!

Dad and his two little rock climbers!

Brady exposing his SUPER HERO strength!

Exploring every nook and cranny!

Of course the number one attraction was the pool - the kids went EVERY day from the moment they could until the moment they had to leave. Brady did good disguising himself as a four year old to avoid any conflict with the pool Natzis.....

Not hard to imagine why they wanted to go .....

Brady Bugs maxing and relaxing....

Can you say "Hot Tub Time Machine"

The next few are just ridiculous as you can see that Brooke really hates to have her picture taken.

Work it ....own it.....

still going......

Then BAM....... (oh the grey hairs grow daily!)

Here I come to save the day.......
The nuggets taking a break to give mom some loving....

This one minus the booger makes me want to eat his cute lil' face!
Soaking up some rays with Grandma!
I am sure this was part of the "just 5 more minutes" plea to stay in the pool.

The second most requested event was the "BATMOBILE" as the golf cart was presented to kids.....you should have seen Brady's jaw drop...it has it's own garage so literally he thought it was the BATCAVE......It was a BIG hit!

Of course I don't think anyone else but the kids drove it the rest of the week....Does anyone see a mini Coco in the making??

Grandma and Grandpa took the kids to the Zoo were the highlight is the feeding of the giraffes. Brady still talks about how this was his favorite thing! Now don't be fooled that hand is NOT Brady's - you can guarantee he was watching from afar :)

It also happened to be Grandma's Birthday and St. Patty's day!

Party on the Zebra!

We spent a lot of meals OUTSIDE imagine that in March! We got to celebrate both Grandma's and Dad's birthday while on the trip!

We lived a la Del Boca Vista with some night Bocce Ball.

Chris and Grandpa were able to enjoy some spring training practices and games. However those paled in comparison to watching Grandpa play in his baseball league......Sad to say the field was nicer than Chris' college team. Credit going to the ever cleanly field keeper.....Grandpa!

Swinging for the fences!

Serious focus......rounding third.

This I just had to include because notice at the game
Cherie = Tank Top
Grandma = Turtleneck and fleece jacket!
Ha!

We soaked up a lot of R&R....

Dad relaxed with a Massage by Brooke.

Brooke and some Cacti....

These turkey balls had a blast touring the 15 model homes, who would have thunk that would be fun for a 6 and 3 year old?

Soaking in the sites....

We visited the new aquarium and had dinner in front of the Shark tank.

Happy Birthday Madre!
This was just too funny it was 9 pm and this guy convinced Brooke and Dad to go on a log ride saying it is specifically designed to shoot the water outwards so you won't get wet....they both were game. I don't think Brooke realized what a drop the slide was since it was pitch black out......and then low and behold.....

They got soaked......and I laugh because the sign to the right of Brooke states "YOU WILL GET WET", but we believed the guy anyway!

Chris and I were able to get away for a night and visited Scottsdale and Tempe....
We pool hopped to the Hotsy Totsy hotels, went out to eat, did some shopping and had full conversations! It was nice!

We had great weather, but the nights were cool and we enjoyed hanging by the campfire at night. Brady Bugs like to play tic tac toe with the the stars and this is where "I'm an animal started" It is seriously Brady's favorite game right now....

Cuddling with my baby.

Hippy Chick Brooke...
keeping warm!

We had a great vacation and made many memories!

This could have been the picture that cost us our flight home......our last pic before we left to the airport!

Thanks Mom and Dad for being great hosts and having us for a few more days.....

Easter 2010

There were eggs, candy, bunnies, hunts, vinegar dyes, ham, beach time, & Jesus talks. Yup I think we captured all the Easter fixings and wrapped up another holiday. Here it is in an "eggshell" (pun intended...)

Waiting for the bunny to arrive.....sure Brady was all smiles here......

So what do you think a body language expert would say about this picture?

The coloring of the eggs...

Friends were gracious enough to host a hunt for the kids.....They were really excited!

Brooke and her pal Avery

Anxiously awaiting for the bunnies to be released!!

And they are off.......

Turkey balls opening their baskets and Brady giving Mom the look of "put the camera away!"
The remainder of the holiday was spent out on the beach enjoying the mild temperatures and the strong wind~

Grandma and the kids on the search for the best walking sticks around!
Toes in the sand....nothing better.

CHEESE.
There were hundreds of ladybugs taking over the beach and apparently this stick.
Looks like she is about to take off....
Happy Easter Kiddos!
