So we all got to see how cows get milked (not an attractive or popular job as we witnessed!) This is also where Chris an I thanked the sweet lord for our "desk jobs"
The kids also were able to feed the baby calves by bottle which was really fun. Brooke was intimidated by all the drool that was happening, but Brady surprisingly went at it alone! Perhaps he felt so at home in his own Utopia - I mean from his perspective this was the holy grail - White Milk as far as the eye can see......... It's like bringing an alcoholic to a bar on St. Patty's Day!
The kids were also able to enjoy a hayride tour of the farm.
After the tour the farm hands let us savor the sweet taste of their milk and cheese! I however a bit grossed out by all the udder soap/milking process/ cows stepping in their own fecal matter - I opted for some Gatorade and pondered if I should now substitute this in my cereal....
Then it was a regular party in the corn box and hay maze - We couldn't pull the kids out of these - I think if we left and came back 2 hours later they wouldn't have noticed.
There was a lot of hide and seek happening in the hay maze....
Making snow angels in the corn....
