VA - KA - SHUN - Glen Arbor

We were able to escape Up North.....on Va-Ka-Shun this year to a little wonder called Glen Arbor. I have heard a lot of people talk highly of the area and am so thankful that we decided to park it up there for a week and experience the beauty of this little non commercial town. Good Morning America wasn't joking when they named it one of the top places in America to see.....and only three small hours away from home! Warning - like I said we were all impressed so be ready to get inundated with photos over the next few days......

This is Glen Lake ...our home for the week

Kids got lots of sunshine and beach time.
Indulged in lots of sweet treats...
 hung out with cousins...
This is what we woke to everyday...not a shabby back yard!
 Thumbs up from Lexi Drew....

Mr. Ed's house.....
 Morning workouts.....notice Tom's struggle...
 and Jake's look of ease.....
Swimming off the dock.....the kids could go out for what seemed like miles and still be standing....It was somewhat unnerving at first.....but super fun for a boy who isn't quite swimming yet!

Playing out on the raft.....some of the most beautiful water I have ever seen!
Lots of meals and hanging out on the lawn.
 Snuggles on the dock.....
Mr. Ed lent us his pontoon boat.
 Brady and Lexi loving life....
Mom and Brooke giving the tour.....
Visiting little towns like Glen Haven....
Soaking up the sights (and the rays)
 Even better with a driver!
 Visited Lake Michigan shoreline....
 Played fun water games....
I am not sure who is having more fun....Brady or the two older kids??
 Went site seeing....
 Stopped in Leeland - fishtown....
 Our Hippie Chick.....
 indulged in afternoon nappies.
Spent time by the campfire....."It started with a WH-is-per.."
Cousins heading out for Brady's bday.
 The Novaceks....
We finally figured out what Brooke needs for her eyes not to burn.....so everyone took advantage....

 Lazy afternoons......
 Brother hugs....
Day trip to the Cherry Festival in Traverse City.....And this is not a typo.....Jen tried her FIRST cherry....I know....I know......
 Craft time with Grandma......
Throw back water hairdos......somehow this one never if forgotten......
Backgammon battles - note worthy Tom lost like 6 in a row and was having a serious mental breakdown.....it was good!
 Roasting snellows....
 Sparklers....
Exhaustion and late bedtimes every night!
Bike riding....Brady was in his glory!
 Chris being camera shy......

It was great this guy had 18 bikes for all of us to use and not one car to worry about!

More to come.......I know you think how can there be possibly more.....but just wait.......
