Chistmas Eve - a winter wonderland......

There is no doubt December has delivered us some crazy weather this year but somehow it's easy to welcome with open arms right before Christmas as it just makes it seem like the holiday comes to life (if you do not have to drive, still have power and heat, and already stocked with food to boot) lucky for us all those stars aligned as I know it didn't for a lot of folks who did the ice storm juggling act. We were able to spend a chunk of Christmas Eve enjoying the winter beauty.

The trees were covered and beautiful....

A hiking we will go......We headed over to the park to get some fresh air and some energy out (insert the obvious here)
Taking a break on the incline up....
These are Roxy's stomping grounds so she was happy to lead and show the way..... (imagine that? can you say alpha?)
She would "join" the kids sledding...
 Homemade snow boards.....

Roxy on her own agility course.....this park is her happy place (insert off leash and freedom!)

Kids trying to avoid the paparazzi.....
Somewhere a negotiation was made for some Christmas Bark and all in the world is good.

Hoping everyone is tired out, we head back home....Isn't it glorious?
Let the festivities begin.....sorting and distributing gifts....
 "helping" open.....
Hey at least they don't make you wear matching jammies, only hats.....
Brady sporting all his favorite logos.....(this will become a running theme...just wait)
Jammie photo.....Brooke tried to fight me on it, but the anticipation factor made it a non issue the night of.
Bless Brady's heart he was so excited he never even noticed they were girl pajamas with pink glitter blinged out buttons......Its all I could find (haha - he can hate me for it later when he gets around to reading these)
 Excited faces....
Picture with PnP before heading to bed......
These were their notes to Santa, so cute, I love how Brooke clearly wanted her gifts separated in order to avoid any confusion.
Let's just say laying out cookies for Santa and having a puppy can prove to be a challenge.
Fingers crossed hope the big man in red will come........
