Happy Birthday America...

We celebrated the 4th of July with all the fixings that I am sure all our founding fathers would have wanted us to......pancake breakfasts, parades, fairs, food galore, cookouts, smores, bonfires, yard games & fireworks.....I am sure it is what they had in mind.....At any rate we continue to make the 4th into an entire weekend celebration, and why not.........the kids and the grown ups look forward to it every year!

Brooke ready to get the day started with a pancake breakfast at the neighbors at 8:01......and didn't rest until well after 11.......I don't know how she does it......I couldn't even hang that long....there was a heat induced naps for the rest of the family.....

Here is Brooke helping Josie celebrate her first 4th of July! Welcome to the states Baby!

Luci and Brooke showing some love to the flag.....

The girls anxiously awaiting the parade.....ehmmm.....I mean the candy that is tossed excessively throughout the parade.....

Grandma and Grandpa were able to experience all the Ada traditions this year......

We were able to enjoy the fireworks right from the end of our street, no crowds, complete ease and they were right above us!

The kids were "hyped" up to say the least - I don't know if it is for the fact that fireworks are just plain cool....or if they think that staying up late is the real treat.

Brady assumed the position again.....He loves them as long as his hears are cupped and muffled....

Brady stepped outside his small little box this year and held a sparkler.....big steps for our little man!

Hope everyone had a great holiday!
