We made it through the end of school....

I think these kids ended their academic schooling about a month ago, however the plethora of "year end" activities that occur at the tail end bring them right up until a few days ago... So fun for them but I will admit I don't think a math problem was calculated or a line of a book read in the past week! Here is how they finished up 3rd grade and Kindergarten!

Annual Art Show - This is Brady's fine work of art.
It , of course, is a vampire mask and is scary and really cool.
This is Brooke's "Piece" titled "neon lines"
She likes that they are bright and colorful.
Then the kids have a day at the ballpark a school associated function/reward for reading all year round (note it didn't include the last week of school....remember they cleaned out their desks on Monday and got out on Thurs!)
Fun hanging out with classmates at the ball park.
Fun field trips with Brady - rolling over logs looking for slugs....
Kindergarten Musical.....if you can't tell they were on song #3 here.....

Well sure they will all listen for the coveted music teacher that they all love so much.
Followed up with a tea/Reading session of all the books that they have written all year long.
Onto Field days.....a favorite of course....games all day long what's not to like.

Brady mid water game....

Brady, Owen & Henry.

More water games....they were all soaked by 10 am.....

This is just funny to me......shows the pure excitement of the day......

Trouble makers....
Upper EL field days in the afternoon......Fire up!
It was funny how different the 3rd graders are.... the competitive streaks come out and one Brooke Munson was all game face.

I guess when your class is ordered to wear Navy blue - this is the uniform.....
Lastly they wrapped up the year with the talent show....The girls did great and it always amazes me the confidence these kids have to get up in front of the whole school and just do their thing. There are many kids that just go up by themselves.....Brady claimed he will do it alone next year......I will believe it when I see it.....

Apparently these girls orchestrated this number on the playground with help from one of the girls that takes dance six days a week. When Brooke told me what song they were singing I questioned it as I never heard it before, and thought wouldn't it be better if the kids knew the song and she just looks at me and goes "Well someone has to make it popular and that is us!" Okay then.....but in hindsight it was great as 9 of the 29 some acts were all from one said artist, Taylor Swift, so the girls at least stood out for something different!
They also orchestrated that they all wanted the "x" hairdo so my fingers were working overtime the night before getting all these girls set.....

Here is the video of the actual performance - they did great and had fun.....
Brooke is the second from the left to start with......
And that my friends was 3rd grade and Kindergarten..........
