Nine Candles.

We should have blown out nine candles this October, however it felt more like 99 with the amount of celebrations this girl had this year.  Brooklyn turned 9 last week here are some shots of the numerous candle blowing.....

Dinner with Grandma and Greg after her soccer game in Grand Haven.
Brooke picked PF Changs for her birthday dinner (remember the days of pickles and cheese - but hey no complaints here!) Both of our kids eat better at this one restaurant than any other - including Brady - who tries stuff he would have a stand off with me at home about!
I secretly think they eat well because they know they have this available as one of their dessert options - The great wall of Chocolate.....4 of us couldn't finish it! We celebrated the night before her actual birthday since both of their sports would have us eating dinner at 9 pm on her actual day!
Pumpkin English muffins (thanks Grandma) for her breakfast celebration.....
Left over bosses day cake that I snagged home for the actual night of her birthday post sports and shower!
Joint celebration with Aunt Suzanne ........
As if that wasn't enough celebrating she also had her little girl party! This is her sewing her invitations (sleeping bags) yup that is right this was the year of the sleepover. But she did great sewed them all herself and was really excited about it.
Finished product....
The girls Party Palace!
Pizza Dinner.....
Tinfoil costume game. This was so funny to watch the girls split up into teams and they had to make outfits out of tinfoil (notice Costco sized rolls) They were so into it and very creative. Chris and I were to judge them on creativity, durability, and presentation (they did skits to present it to the other team)
This was their flying robot....
This was the bride to be, including a bouquet of flowers a tinfoil ring and ring box. They even let Brady Bugs help out.....
We never even judged, the girls just loved watching each other and then immediately split into new teams to do round two.
The bride actually had a tinfoil isle and they all sang "here comes the bride"
Brooke and the bride.
Brooke and the flying robot.
The actual proposal.
Girls showing off their hard work!
Then things got nutty as they became Chipolte burritos or the actual roll of tin foil.
Brady jumped in on the action the next day.....he looks like a Hersey Kiss.
Decorating their own cupcakes (look at the amount of frosting and toppings on them.....yuck!) And of course nine more candles to blow out.....With these odds one of those wishes has to come true, no?
Sugar overload.
Flashlight candy hunt outside! Or time for Chris and I to clean up before the next event!
Opening gifts.
Let the dance party begin!
These girls went crazy and jammed out like they were "in da club"
Check out Chris playing DJ (more realistically monitoring that no one runs into his TV) The flash hides it but it was pitch black with disco strobes going!
I was hoping this would entice them to go to sleep.....NOPE. We put the movie on at 11pm thinking for sure after the hours of tinfoil, candy hunt, dance party, sugar crashes.....they would for sure be out right.....So off to bed I go at midnight. Chris goes down at 1am to turn the movie off and they are ALL UP and playing Twister! The next morning I heard talk of a 3am bedtime.

Sleepy girls in the morning - but they rose to the doughnut occasion! I told the parents they will either get a heavenly afternoon to themselves because they will take a 4 hour nap, or you may have a bear on your hands. Most I talked to the next day held on like tough cookies! Reminder if these girls can stay up until 3 am and be semi functional the next day I should seriously consider NOT sending her to college - My daughter will not sleep a wink!
More sweaty dance party action.
Dance party live and in person....
This was so sweet. Chris had a little jam session with the girls.....I don't know who was happier the girls or Chris having an audience?
